# DeFi Protocols

The Cion Digital platform is integrating with different DeFi protocols. A DeFi protocol uses a smart contract code that runs on the blockchain network. To begin with, the Cion Digital platform offers loans from **AAVE Protocol.**

The advantage of using the Cion Digital platform for taking loans via AAVE are:

* Different loan offer comparisons and selecting the best
* A one-stop solution for all the lending needs
* and many more

The platform is planned to be integrated with the following protocols going forward:

* *MakerDAO*
* *Compound*
